Government Intelligence?
ÆGIS, at your Service.
They aren’t against Anomalies per se.
They oppose public access to Anomalies.
They feed our hunger for energy by harvesting Anomalies.
Anomalies have been encroaching into our reality forever, but historically they have been dismissed as fringe oddities. Recently, it was discovered that they are rich sources of energy - Æther - ripe for harvesting, so now they're more difficult to ignore.
Our job is to contain and extract the Anomalous Energy (Æ).
If an Anomaly spirals out of control, then we pull the plug.
We’ve yet to encounter one that we can't lock down.
That’s why you’re here - to help us ensure it stays that way.

So if you wanted to run a SCP kind of game using FIST, this is the way to go right?
Yep, this could be one good option!
The general concept of SCP Foundation and the Federal Bureau of Control were both definitely in my mind as inspirations. I wanted to add a twist that the Anomalies were energy sources like oil deposits. There's a tension between wanting to locate the Anomalies because they're dangerous and AEGIS needs to protect the world from them, but they also want to find them because they're desirable as significant sources of rare energy.
I want to keep expanding the lore and logic of this setting in future updates. Please let me know if you and your players are inspired by the idea and come up with any cool offshoot ideas in your sessions.
Why you should check this out: an quick-read, well laid-out, interesting faction.
Style: a clean, on-brand layout with more generous margins, a5(?) single column pages and some spot symbols / patent style art. It feels very consistent with FIST’s aesthetic.
Structure: there is a good balance of flavour and lore that gives just enough information for a referee to incorporate the faction into their table.
Content: the content is well balanced between the greek inspiration and the ‘bureau of control’ style theme. The writing is flavourful and punchy.
Thank you so much for this review!
(And I like the style of the four different aspects for review.)
Thanks, I’m enjoying looking through all the submissions!
